Larry Johanson is an author, speaker, life coach and parent whose quest for meaning and purpose began in earnest at age 15 when his father died and left his family in deep financial and emotional pain. The crowning moment of his quest was meeting the Venerable Roshi Philip Kapleau, author of the Three Pillars of Zen, whose serenity and equanimity so struck him that he vowed to discover the secret behind Roshi Kapleau's incredible presence. He became a student of Roshi Kapleau and has practiced Zen for 38 years. Today he practices with Roshi Sunyana Graef, Dharma Heir to Roshi Kapleau and founder of the Vermont Zen Centre. Larry also has a Masters degree in Communication Studies and worked as a Speech Writer, Public Relations Executive and Social Marketer. Over the last 15 years he has designed and facilitated workshops on Communication, Change Management, Leadership, Personal Development, and Stress Management.
