Diana Joy is a 2014 graduate of Simon Fraser University's "The Writer's Studio" in Vancouver, BC, and a 2015 graduate of The Southbank Writer's Program in Surrey, BC. Primarily a modern romantic poet, her work has been published in Quill's Canadian Poetry Magazine Volume X, and SFU's Emerge 14 anthology. She is the 2016 co-host of The Writer's Studio Reading Series held at the Cottage Bistro in Vancouver. Previous to her life in writing and non-profit arts communities, Diana spent years in a corporate environment as a Property Manager. She holds certificates in Real Estate from UBC's Sauder School of Business. When not writing and reading, she loves to garden, cook, practice yoga, and spend time with family and friends. Born in Vancouver, Diana currently resides part-time in Surrey, part-time in Port Coquitlam, and has ties to the Sunshine Coast. Diana is once divorced, once widowed, and now deeply in love with her first kiss. She's also proud mother of three sons and care helper to her loving parents. Life is complicated, but it's these complications that inspire her to put words together in ways that invite human hearts and minds to feel their common bonds.
