Frontiers of the EMP: The Wild West: A Post-Apocalyptic EMP Survival Thriller (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798188432089)

Three thousand miles of dead America stand between Dana Thompson and the only place that can turn the lights back on.

The drive her father died to put in her hands holds the master copy of the recovery. Mendocino, California holds the sealed facility built to receive it. Between them lie the Mojave, the Sierra, and a continent full of men who want what she carries.

The Continental Reclamation Authority is hunting her. Its new Director has spent seven years preparing for the moment she arrives, and he knows something about the vault door that she does not. To the south, a warlord's five hundred riders sweep west to claim California by force. And a lone dog carrying a dead woman's note joins the road at a Texas water hole.

Dana rides with Ryler, the killer who chose her over his own damnation. With Steve, the man who came up her hill first and has loved her ever since. With a scientist too old for this and a freed prisoner who counted every one of his two hundred and eleven days.

Not all of them will see the redwoods.

The door will open once. Ninety seconds. Whoever stands on that ledge gets through, and whoever does not is left behind on the wrong side of the rock.
