Dr. Chen Shuoxuan of the National University of Ryukyu, Japan, is an associate researcher currently under employment at the Fujian-Taiwan Regional Research Center of Fujian Normal University, director of the Sino-Ryukyu Relations Research Association in Japan, and visiting researcher at the South Island Cultural Institute of Okinawa International University, Japan. His main research focuses on Chinese overseas transportation and trade history, the history of Sino-Japanese relations, and the local history of Fujian.
