Dolores Miller was living the American dream. She and her husband Lawrence lived in a small Southern California town with their two children. Dolores takes us on an emotional whiplash of a ride as we feel her anguish and wonder whether Lawrence is guilty of being a sex offender or is he the victim of malicious teenage gossip.

I turned 75 when I decided to turn my attention to writing psychological fiction. During the course of fifty-plus years as a practicing psychologist I have been privileged to enter the lives of countless people as their psychotherapist. Their lives and struggles revealed profound truths about the human condition. Many of their stories have provided themes for my books. Sometimes a common issue rather than a particular individual stimulated the stories. More than once, their stories resonated with my own life and helped me to gain clarity and perspective. I am profoundly grateful for the insights provided by those entrusted me with their stories and permitted me to join them on their journey of self-discovery. I was born and raised in The Bronx in New York City, attended City College of New York, and earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Kansas. I have been a practicing psychologist for more than fifty years in the Los Angeles area. I have been married to my wife, Barbara, for over thirty years, have three grown children, five grandchildren, and a pooch named Charlie. So far, I have published eight books and have written several screenplays. I love to cook, take pictures, work in my wood shop, and exercise.
