She enjoys reading, writing, tennis, and travel.The character Gangster Kitty was created by my son L Roy Bonner IV when he was eight years old. We were on vacation at the beach in Seaside, Oregon, and we were walking into town when we came across an orange cat with green eyes. My son's favorite color is orange and his eyes are green. He bent down to pet the cat, and it actually let him for a few minutes. Then the cat swaggered off, and my son said, "Wouldn't it be cool if he were a gangster?" As a mother, I did not want my son idolizing gangsters. I proceeded to tell him why crime was never okay. I took the idea further, and using the young cat we had met, I decided to write a story about a gangster kitty who would eventually change his ways. This is that story.
