Cox and his wife taught his children that life is what one makes of it, and what we have made or done with life will live long after we are gone. Richard H. Cox has doctorates in theology, psychology, and medicine and has been awarded three honorary degrees (DSc, DHL, PsyD). He has served as Lecturer, Professor, Dean, and President of multiple institutions of higher learning and has published numerous books, chapters, and articles; original arrangements of instrumental music; and paintings. He and his (deceased) psychologist wife were consultants to many retirement communities. He continues his activities now in his ninety-seventh year and lives in a retirement village in North Carolina.
