I was born in Southern Illinois. Attended McKendree College (BA), graduated from Southern Illinois University (MS of Ed), and postgraduate at Christian Theological Seminary (M Div). Married over fifty years to Marilyn Ragsdale Best of Harrisburg, IL. We have two successful children Nancy White and Keith Best. I served as a public school teacher for twenty years and as a United Methodist pastor for thirty years. Served four years in and honorably discharged from the U S Air Force.
