El David, a.k.a. The Outlaw of Poetry is a poet, spoken word artist, writer, music producer, author, visual artist, host, community activist, director of defunct World Music band "Machete Movement", and Co-Founder of ELKAT Productions, an independent artist production company. El David has featured and performed his Spoken Word at the Nuyorican Poet's Cafe, Bowery Poetry Club, Bronx Museum for the Arts, Great Weather for Media, El Fogon, Hostos College, La Tea, Capicu Cultural Showcase, Smokin' Word Open Mic Series, El Museo Del Barrio, Julia de Burgos, Queens Theatre, Wings Theatre, Tribes Theatre, Sunset Park Uncensored, Open Moments NYC, The Pen, The Pad & The Poet, Bronx Arts Music Center, Steven's Institute of Technology. He has hosted, curated and performed for the 2016 Queens Lit Crawl and was a featured poet in two Full Circle Ensemble sold out performances at the National Black theatre, "Page to the Stage" and "Misconceptions". His literary works include poetry books, "Art of Words", "For the People", "America's Brainchild", "The E Spot"; and several works included in "Me No Hablo with Acento" an anthology edited by Emanuel Xavier; "The Bandana Republic" an anthology edited by Luis Reyes Rivera and Bruce George and "The BX Files" an anthology edited by El David featuring poets & writers from the Bronx, NY. His works have also been published in the Village Voice, New York Newsday, and Stress Magazine.
