My name is Raechelle Green, and I am from New Orleans, LA. I wrote this book in dedication to my beautiful black and brown girls around the world. My experience as little African-American girl to a full grown black woman was not always easy. I faced an enormous amount of bullying for not only skin tone, but for my hair texture and body type. I wish that I had the amount of confidence that I have now, but that is the exact reason why I created this book. I wanted to show little black and brown girls early to be kind to yourself and others. I also wanted to show them that even though you can be sweet, you can still "give em sass.
