Glass Between Worlds (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798231183029)

Dr. Rachel Parker, a medieval church restoration expert struggling with her faith, is hired to repair damaged stained-glass windows at St. Michael's Cathedral. What begins as routine restoration work quickly becomes an extraordinary journey when she discovers the 19th-century windows are somehow alive, showing vivid visions of biblical events to those who are spiritually open. As Rachel experiences increasingly intense visions - from the Sermon on the Mount to the Cleansing of the Temple - she must reconcile her scientific training with inexplicable phenomena. The windows were created in 1847 by master craftsman Edmund Blackwood using mysterious techniques that seem to have created genuine portals into biblical times. Previous restoration specialists have all abandoned the project after experiencing overwhelming visions. As Rachel delves deeper into the cathedral's history and the windows' true nature, she discovers that the phenomena are intensifying and spreading beyond the cathedral walls. The story follows her transformation from skeptical scientist to reluctant believer as she uncovers the divine purpose behind the windows and confronts the possibility that some mysteries transcend scientific explanation. Working alongside Father Davies and the cathedral's elderly archivist, Father Thomas, Rachel must navigate the tension between faith and reason while protecting the windows from those who would exploit or destroy them. "Sacred Glass" follows Dr. Rachel Parker, a medieval church restoration expert, who discovers that 19th-century-stained glass windows at St. Michael's Cathedral are mysteriously alive, showing vivid visions of biblical events to spiritually open observers. What begins as routine repair work becomes a profound journey of scientific investigation and spiritual transformation as Rachel experiences increasingly intense interactive visions - from the Sermon on the Mount to the Cleansing of the Temple. Created in 1847 by master craftsman Edmund Blackwood using lost medieval techniques, the windows initially appear to be isolated phenomena, but Rachel discovers they are catalysts for a global spiritual awakening. As similar manifestations appear in churches worldwide, Rachel faces institutional pressure from Vatican investigators who want to suppress the phenomena to protect Church authority. When the Vatican removes the windows, the visions continue in empty frames, proving the divine cannot be contained. Over thirty years, Rachel documents humanity's transformation as over one billion people experience direct divine encounters, leading to the elimination of poverty, the end of most armed conflicts, and the reversal of environmental degradation. The story chronicles Rachel's evolution from skeptical scientist to Nobel Peace Prize winner, showing how authentic spiritual experience becomes democratized and transforms human civilization itself. The narrative explores themes of faith versus reason, institutional control versus spiritual freedom, and the accessibility of divine truth to all seekers regardless of religious background.
