In the year 2000 A New Orleans microbiologist, William Theseus, hopes to clone a cow, with the help of his graduate assistant, Robby Davis. Carey Rowland is writer living now in the mountains of North Carolina, with his wife, Pat, who is a nurse. They are the parents of three grown young people. Born in Louisiana in 1951, Carey spent some childhood years in Jackson, Mississippi before his family returned to Baton Rouge in the early 60s. After graduating from LSU in 1973, having studied English and Political Science, Carey spent a year and a half in Florida before settling for good in North Carolina.
