God's Plan: The Movement of Love (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798295890345)

You are not tired because you are weak. You are tired because you have been trying to earn a love that was given to you for free.

If you have ever sat alone at the end of a long day and wondered, beneath the deadlines and the smile and the strength everyone counts on, Am I loved?-this book was written for you.

God's Plan: The Movement of Love is a forty-day journey for the woman who has been holding everything together for too long. The one who looks successful on paper. The one who shows up to church with her hair done while something quiet inside her goes without. The one who has read the books, prayed the prayers, served the people, and still feels a love-shaped ache she does not know how to name.

Mariana M. Fletcher knows that ache because she lived it. A public health leader with a (ABD) doctorate in healthcare administration and seventeen years on the front lines of human struggle, she had every credential a younger version of herself would have been proud of-and she still ended up at the end of her rope. What happened next changed everything. Not because she did anything right. Because love came for her first.

This is the book that came out of that season.

Inside these pages, you will learn why your striving has not made you feel loved, and what will. You will discover how to receive God's love before you are asked to give it away. You will find the quiet practices that soften the inner voice that has been wearing you down for years. You will see how forgiveness becomes effortless when love is the ground you stand on, not the mountain you climb. And you will walk through four gentle movements-being loved, receiving love, giving love, and being sent-that reshape an exhausted life into a life that flows.

Built on Scripture and written in the voice of a friend across a kitchen table, this book does not add one more thing to the pile you cannot lift. It takes the pile away. Each of the forty chapters follows the same simple rhythm: a quiet scene, a soft question, a passage of Scripture, a personal reflection, one small action, and a short prayer to close the day. You can read it in forty mornings or ninety. There is no rush. The love is not going anywhere.

This book is for you if you are tired of being good in the hope that goodness will finally come back to you as affection. If you have read books about God that left you more exhausted than when you opened them. If the gospel has begun to sound, in your life, more like a demand than a gift. If you are ready to stop performing and start being loved.

You do not have to clean yourself up first. You do not have to understand it all before you begin. You only have to be willing. The door is open. The love has already been poured out.
