Paula F Pfeiffer (Winskye), herself a horse-crazy girl, began writing stories about girls & horses at age 12. During her teens, she authored a story called "Golden Jubilee." Forty years later, it became the basis for GOLD STAR LEE. She graduated from Horseshoeing School, and later earned a degree in Light Horse Management. After working at Arabian stables, she operated Green Zephyr Stable, raising pleasure Tennessee Walking Horses. She served six years on the international board of directors of the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders & Exhibitors Assn. She published her first novel in 2003 & has published 11 in the mystery, romance, & family saga genres, most notably her Tony Wagner mystery series. GOLD STAR LEE is her first children's novel.
