J. E. Herbert is a retired member of the Armed Services. I occasionally use revisionist techniques and military thinking not driven but this is not driven by personal agendas and political ideologies, my stories follow the historical outline into the precursors of America's wars. Mr. Herbert has been a Soldier, a Ranger, and a Boat Master. He has served in combat and in peace time. During his service he has done duty in Europe, South East Asia, South West Asia, Africa, and Continental North and South America, in addition to traveling widely in leisure times. Like every soldier who has served, I hate war. I am saddened because every war of the past millennia was avoidable. All that was required were smaller egos, and reasonable negotiation.
