Good and Gone: A Gumbo Malone Mystery

Dive into Florida's most bizarre criminal underbelly where gators aren't the only ones with bite!

When former corporate executive turned reluctant private investigator Danny "Gumbo" Malone takes on what seems like a simple missing person case in Cedar Key, Florida, he has no idea he's about to be pulled into a whirlpool of environmental corruption, exotic animal smuggling, and deadly secrets.

After eccentric orchid collector Elias Devereux vanishes without a trace, Gumbo finds himself navigating a swampy labyrinth of suspicious pet spa owners, art thieves known as "The Pelican," emotional support geckos, and corrupt real estate developers. With his stilthouse boat damaged in a freak storm and danger lurking around every mangrove, Gumbo's Florida retirement isn't turning out quite as planned.

Joined by no-nonsense detective Linda Hastings and sharp-witted former forensic accountant Eleanor "Ellie" Hightower (whose hurricane-strength coffee might be the most dangerous thing in the Sunshine State), Gumbo must untangle a web of lies before he becomes the next person to mysteriously disappear in the Everglades.

Good and Gone serves up a perfect cocktail of suspense and humor where:

- Ancient alligators might be your best allies

- Luxury pet spas hide criminal enterprises

- Environmental regulations are more suggestion than law

- And a "Florida Man" headline might just be your next clue

Perfect for fans of Carl Hiaasen, Tim Dorsey, and Dave Barry, this first installment in the Gumbo Malone Mystery series delivers a sun-soaked, wickedly funny thriller that proves Florida isn't just a state it's a state of mind. And sometimes, that mind is criminally insane.

Grab your sunscreen and sense of humor this is one Florida adventure you won't want to miss!
