Robert Hale, Sr., served churches in North Dakota and Maryland as well as working for the federal government. He has published two other books: Jesus and His Friends (a devotional Bible study) and Honeymoon Parish (a humorous novel about a preacher and his "angel"). About 200 of his poems and other writings have been published in 50 periodicals. His granddaughter, Janine Hale Reter, created a story about the beauty makeover of a little witch when Janine was just five years old.
