Grandparent Legacy Journal: A Guided Memory Book for Grandparents to Share Their Life Story, Childhood Memories, Family History, Wisdom, Life Lessons (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9783384986443)

Every grandparent carries a lifetime of memories that grandchildren may someday wish they had asked about.

Where were you born?

What was your childhood home like?

Who were your parents?

What do you remember about your first day of school?

What was your first job-and how much were you paid?

How did you meet the person who became their grandparent?

And what do you remember about the day your grandchild was born?

Grandparent Legacy Journal is a guided memory book designed to help grandparents put those stories into their own words and preserve them for the generations who come after them.

The journal's "My Life in My Own Hand" pages invite grandparents to write directly for a named grandchild and record their age and the date, making each entry a personal piece of family history.

Thoughtful prompts provide space to remember where they were born-including the house, town and even the smell of the place-their parents and what they did, childhood memories, their first day of school and their first job.

Grandparents can also preserve memories of the day they met their partner, what they remember about the day their grandchild was born and one piece of advice they haven't given-until now. Each entry can even be signed in the grandparent's own hand, creating something much more personal than an ordinary notebook.

The later pages combine meaningful thoughts about grandparents, grandchildren, family stories, memories and generations with guided reflection space. Prompts invite the writer to consider what each thought means to them, when they have lived its message, how they will act on it, one word they want to carry forward and the person with whom they want to share it.
