Gummy Bears for Breakfast: The Financial Predation of the Elderly in America (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798896754305)

When William needed an advocate, Olivia refused to stand by and watch a system swallow him whole.

In this powerful true account, veteran entertainers Olivia and William pull back the curtain on the hidden struggles facing America's seniors. After witnessing nursing facilities attempt to manipulate and separate them-one trying to physically remove William from Olivia's car, another using deception to secure his assisted living voucher-Olivia's Irish principles ignited a fierce determination to fight back.

Their collective fifty years in entertainment couldn't prepare them for becoming unwilling warriors in a battle for dignity and autonomy. What began as a search for peaceful golden years transformed into a harrowing journey through a system designed to strip seniors of their independence, assets, and fundamental rights.

Gummy Bears for Breakfast stands as both a warning and a rallying cry. Olivia and William's experiences illuminate the predatory practices targeting vulnerable seniors while offering hope through their blueprint for resistance. Though the solutions presented are fictionalized, they represent achievable changes to protect our elders.

This is more than a memoir-it's a survival guide for anyone concerned about aging with dignity in America. Olivia and William's story reminds us that when we stand together, even the most intimidating systems can be challenged.

Sometimes the most revolutionary act is simply refusing to be silenced.
