Gun 101: The Writer's Guide to Firearms (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781718135130)

WRITERS!!! STOP SHOOTING YOURSELVES IN THE FOOT.I have never met a writer who does not want his or her book to be considered "a page-turner." Great. Then why make foolish mistakes with firearms and hope nobody notices? There are over 150 million gun owners in the USA. They read. And when they see something on the page that they know to be wrong, they stop reading and think about it. There goes the page-turner medal of honor.Fifty-percent of writers who use guns in their novels, movies, and TV shows have never fired a gun. Far fewer have ever owned one. Yet in almost every mystery, thriller, adventure or spy story, guns are used either as evidence after a crime or as weapons during crimes, wars, espionage, etc. Wouldn't it be nice to get it right? GUN 101 shoots down many of the stupid mistakes made by writers and movie directors and offers ways to avoid these problems.Silenced Revolvers? Impossible shots? This book will help writers avoid the stupid mistakes that shoot themselves in the foot.Bestselling author, Tony Broadbent, said of GUN 101, "I'll buy a dozen copies and give them to my writer friends. They need this book."
