Guppy Falls: A Coming of Age, Friends to Lovers Comedy Novel (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798872144168)

Guppy Falls is "a delightful escape [...] where laughter meets romance."

"The author's storytelling captures the essence of young adulthood, making the characters relatable and endearing."

"[Guppy Falls is a] charming homage to the spirit of John Hughes movies, "Dazed & Confused," and "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World."

A recent high school graduate has his whole life ahead of him, and yet he's so paralyzed by a broken heart that he can't even recognize love when it's staring him in the face. While relationships have never come easy to him, he's about to learn just how important connecting truly is.

All Alfie Taylor and Elena Perry wanted to do this summer was make up for lost time. After their friendship got weird, thanks to his girlfriend Rachel, they never thought their lives would intersect again. However, a swift breakup on her part quickly proved them wrong. Aside from some lingering tensions and a secret-an acceptance letter and loan to attend school at NYU-that Elena hasn't had the heart to share with him yet, things have never been better.

Or so it seems. Elena isn't stupid. She knows that the longer she waits to tell him about NYU, the worse the fallout will be. Add to that Alfie's bewitching new neighbor Maddie, the way he's falling over himself for her, as well as their friend Donald's harebrained idea to end the summer at the infamous 'Guppy Falls, ' and Elena's got her work cut out for her. She's no stranger to loss, and neither is Alfie. But now, it seems like losing each other is about to become an inevitability that neither of them can prevent. That is, of course, unless they're willing to stumble through the perils of young love, friendship, and a theme park with a literal body count to make things right.

Guppy Falls is a heartwarming, friends-to-lovers comedy for fans of classic coming of age, teen cinema. It explores the interpersonal relationships of teenagers, the effects of abandonment, and how the best things in life are always complicated.
