Hannah: My daughter, my teacher, my inspiration (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798235884045)

Hannah-Rose was born on the 25th of February 2008. She has Epilepsy, Autism, and Cerebral Palsy. She cannot walk independently, speak in sentences, or feed herself. She turned eighteen this year.

This is the story of what her father learned from her. Updated edition from 2017.

Written from Lagos, where Bruce Prins has lived and worked for over a decade to keep his daughter's medical care funded and his family intact, Hannah is a memoir about love in its most unglamorous form. The alarm before dawn, the birthday missed, the salary that barely covers what it needs to cover, the hospital floor at three in the morning.

It is also, unexpectedly, a story about joy.

For every parent who has sat in a waiting room with a child the world doesn't quite know what to do with, this book is for you.
