Retiring from the Fairfax County Police Department in Virginia as a detective, he continued his career with the Department of Justice in Haiti. He developed and presided over a private security, investigation and protection company for over a decade traveling throughout Europe and the middle-east. He finally retired again from the Department of Defense as a law enforcement professional with the U.S. Army, completing two full tours of duty in Iraq between 2008 and 2011. He received the Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees from George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia - where he also taught Criminal Justice and Sociology.
