Have You Met Me Yet? (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781923753709)

This book covers a decade of uncertainty, fragility, vulnerability, but most of all...resilience. The fight is not over, not while breath is drawn.

After getting a shock diagnosis of renal failure, there was a choice to be made. Do I fight? Or do I lay down and die? No one ever really asked me that question, but it was one I asked myself. And if you do find yourself reading this book, you'll see which road I chose. Yes, this is all about me. They way that I fell down, the way that I chose to claw my way back to the land of the living. Just when it seemed certain, that the Reaper had me in his grasp. The way of sharing with my daughter, that we can be stronger, we can rise above, we are only limited by our own limitations. Yes, this book is like a love letter to my daughter, but it's also a story of survival, strength, resilience. It's the not giving up attitude, even when you really want to. I wrote this book to show my daughter, that no matter what, if we truly believe, we can overcome any Goddamn thing!
