Virginia Welch was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, raised in West Monroe, Louisiana, and settled in Mississippi, where she "appears to have been permanently misplaced." She carries a dual love of Louisiana and Mississippi, and longs for the time and energy to explore the regions of her birth in Tennessee. She developed a love for reading romances when she was twelve and always wanted to try her hand at writing them and including a Christian message within the plot. With a husband and three children, she was too busy living stories to write about them. After thirty years of marriage, she lost her husband to lung cancer. She eventually settled in a small, rural east Mississippi town to be near friends and relatives, including two of her three grandchildren. Now with her children geographically scattered, she is pursuing her passion for writing Christian Romances, which she also loves to read. Virginia is chapter head of the Newton/Neshoba Counties Chapter of Mississippi Writers Guild.
