Lynda Dunwell is an LSE graduate and has taught economics and business studies for over twenty years. She has worked as a press officer, advertisement copy writer, tourist officer and researcher. She is a member of the UK Romantic Novelists' Association and is an avid reader of historical romance. Her first novel Marrying the Admiral's Daughter was a contender for the Joan Hessayon award. Her third novel, Tomorrow belongs to Us was short-listed at the UK Festival of Romance. She is a keen student of genealogy and a member of the Society of Genealogists. Her research work has enabled her to trace her direct paternal family line back to 1485 - the advantage of having an uncommon surname. Currently she is researching her female line which she describes as "far more challenging" and she is working on a non-fiction book about female genealogy. Although born and based in the landlocked English Midlands, she loves the sea and spends most of her vacations aboard cruise ships.
