After rescuing the dragon, LincolnCrow and his officers discover the enemy has seeded a spell underneath an ancient volcano that cause it to erupt and destroy the Empire of Randar with tsunamis and snow, if it cannot be dispersed. Wizards, witches, and dragons work together to try and resolve this threat. Dragons come to consult with the emperor and they learn how to work with the humans. From a new school for magic, young witches and wizards are called to help with new spells and sacrifice. One young witch offers new ideas in magic and works with the dragon and wizards. While they look for a way to end the danger, another evil wizard appears, interested in how he can use the magic rising to the surface at the volcano to collect magical power and renew his life force. To disperse the spell, an ancient spirit examines the spell that threatens the empire and must make a sacrifice.
