Norman Bissett worked for the British Council for 30 years in Lebanon, Turkey, Uruguay, Spain, Scotland, Egypt and the Philippines. Since he retired in 1995 he has written prolifically and has been widely published in the small press. To date he has produced 14 collections of verse. He now lives in Edinburgh.
