Held in His Hand: Learning to Trust the God Who Holds Time (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798187142705)

Why does God make us wait?

If you've ever prayed and heard only silence...
If you've ever wondered why doors remain closed...
If you've ever questioned whether God has forgotten His promises...

This book was written for you.

Throughout Scripture, one truth appears again and again: God is never in a hurry, but He is never late. His plans unfold according to His perfect timing, not ours. While we often see delay, God is accomplishing preparation. While we see unanswered prayers, He is weaving together a far greater story than we can imagine.

In Held in His Hands, Bible teacher Steve Baley takes readers on a journey from Genesis to Revelation to discover how God works through seasons of waiting. Rather than offering shallow encouragement or easy answers, this book carefully examines the lives of men and women who trusted God when His timetable seemed impossible to understand.

Walk alongside Abraham as he waits twenty-five years for God's promised son.

Stand with Joseph in the prison where years of apparent injustice become God's preparation for national deliverance.

Follow Moses through forty hidden years in the wilderness before God calls him to lead Israel.

Learn from David, anointed as king yet forced to live as a fugitive.

Witness Esther's providential rise "for such a time as this."

See how every event in the life of Jesus Christ unfolded according to the Father's perfect schedule, culminating in His death and resurrection at the exact appointed time.

Discover how the coming of the Holy Spirit, the ministry of Paul, and even our present seasons of suffering fit within God's sovereign plan.

Drawing from dozens of biblical accounts, this book demonstrates that God's delays are never wasted. Every season of waiting serves a purpose. Every unanswered prayer is held within the hands of a faithful Father who sees the end from the beginning.

Inside you will discover:

- Why God often delays the fulfillment of His promises.
- The difference between waiting faithfully and waiting passively.
- How God develops character before granting responsibility.
- What Scripture teaches about unanswered prayer.
- Why suffering is never meaningless in the life of a believer.
- How to trust God when His timing differs from your own.
- Encouragement for those facing aging, loss, uncertainty, and disappointment.
- Practical biblical principles for living faithfully while you wait.
- Reflection questions for personal study or small groups.
- Appendices filled with key Scriptures, biblical timelines, and examples of faithful men and women who trusted God's timing.

Whether you are waiting for healing, direction, restoration, a prodigal child, an open door, or simply trying to understand why life has unfolded differently than you expected, these pages will remind you that your story has not escaped God's attention.

Filled with biblical insight, pastoral encouragement, memorable illustrations, and practical application, Held in His Hands offers readers more than a study of God's timing-it offers confidence in the God who governs time itself.

The same God who created time...
The same God who fulfilled every promise...
The same God who sent His Son in the fullness of time...
still holds your life securely in His hands.

You may not understand His timing today.

But you can trust the One who holds tomorrow.

Because the God who holds time also holds you.
