The author and artist have collectively over 30 years of experience working with children, teens, and their families dealing with grief, illness, and/or organ, cornea, and tissue donation. The author has served on several national boards as a specialist in these fields and has 1000s of hours of direct service with families both in and out of hospitals, home-based, community-based, and out-patient office settings.
