Her Final Hours: An Unputdownable Irish Crime Novel from the International Bestselling Author (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798217271276)

'A writer at the top of her game' Jo Spain

How did a young reveller end up in a remote grave?

Newly arrived in Dublin city, Garda Mary Shea is eager to impress her boss, major crimes lead Matt Foley. He took a chance bringing her into his team and she wants to prove her mettle.

When a woman's battered body is found in the Wicklow mountains, Mary traces her identity through missing persons reports and learns the victim was last seen on the night she attended a Bruce Springsteen concert in the city. She never made it home.

As Mary investigates, she faces the assumptions and prejudices about the victim's fate that she hoped she'd left behind in County Kerry. While Matt is preoccupied with his personal woes it's left to Mary to seek answers. But is her desire for justice going to be her undoing?

An emotionally charged police procedural story set against the backdrop of 1980s Ireland, from international bestseller Anna McPartlin.

Praise for The Silent Ones

'An engrossing police procedural and a beautifully drawn portrait of a time and place. Mary Shea is such a brilliant new character: intuitive, ballsy, compassionate, achingly ahead of her time. Highly recommended.' LOUISE CANDLISH

'Beautifully written, completely compelling. Mary Shea is the best cop character I've read in years. Give me the next book. Give it to me now!' DERVLA MCTIERNAN

'Harrowing, suspenseful and authentic... a writer at the top of her game' JO SPAIN
