Heracles arrives in time to save them, though the goddesses Iris and Madness cause Heracles to kill his wife and children in a frenzy. Heracles is the second of two surviving Greek Tragedies by Euripides where the family of Heracles are suppliants. The drama & play Heracles was first performed in 416 BC.
