Through intricate graphite reproductions of pattern designs and archival papers, Berlin-based Austrian artist Herbert Stattler (born 1966) tells the story of the Dittmar & Ostertag Company which, from 1900 to 1954, distributed worldwide garment trimmings and bobbin lace made by women in their homes.
