Hamp had a great fascination with money from a young age. From begging his mother for money to buy penny candy, Now-and-Laters, and Jolly Ranchers, he found how candy brought a level of instant gratification. As he grew older, his desire for instant gratification also grew. As a twenty-year active duty member in the military, Hamp travelled the globe searching for his "sweet spot: " buying souvenirs, taking local trips, and racing on the autobahn with an American muscle car. Sadly however, Hamp would soon learn that the cost of instant gratification came at the sacrifice of his financial future. Saddled with debt and determined to change, he embarked on a quest to improve his financial standing. Along with his wife and daughter, Hamp lives in Biloxi, Mississippi, enjoying each day while improving his financial future.
