Holiday Overdrive: A Small Town Christmas Race Romance (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798278014546)

She has a foreclosure notice, a vintage Mustang that won't start, and zero ability to drive a stick shift.

Hallie Blake is running on fumes. To save her grandmother's bakery from the tax man, she has to win the Mistletoe 500, a brutal 500-mile winter rally through the Rockies. She has the entry fee and the car, but she lacks the one thing that keeps an engine running in a blizzard: a mechanic she hasn't alienated.

Ford Bennett treats cars with a reverence he denies people, especially the ex-girlfriend who left him in her rearview mirror ten years ago. He agrees to restore Hallie's '67 Mustang for the sake of the American steel, not the woman behind the wheel. But when Hallie nearly strips the gears in the parking lot, Ford realizes he has to get in the passenger seat to protect the car.

Now they're trapped in a claustrophobic cockpit for three days of ice, adrenaline, and forced proximity. As the heater battles the freezing temperatures on Deadman's Pass, the friction between them generates enough heat to melt the snow. But winning the cash prize might mean destroying the car, forcing them to decide if saving the bakery is worth wrecking their second chance at love.
