Elmer W. Lovrien completed a two-year writing program at The Loft for Writers in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He writes short stories full time. His past weaves its way through a world of social work, newspaper writing for a small town daily newspaper, pre-school teaching, parent education, and crisis counseling. He has travelled extensively by bicycle, pedaling from coast to coast in the United States and through France. He is a small town plumber's son, a one-time altar boy and high school sports enthusiast. His stories reflect many of those experiences.
