Hot Meals (LARGE PRINT Edition) (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798669235543)

*This is the large print edition of Hot Meals, book 1 in the Hot Meals series.* Scientifically-accurate vampires wouldn't bite women to feed, they'd just go down on them. It's a little-known fact: vaginas get wet because they're leaking plasma - it's the clear part of blood and the perfect vampire food. The vampires in Hot Meals own a nightclub. One night, while Annie is partying, she meets Guy - an impossibly sexy, mysterious man. After they hook up, he starts acting funny - and bloodless animals start turning up around town. While Annie's neighbor, Detective Winn Merin, starts looking for a serial killer, Guy confesses he's a vampire. He's been drinking animal blood because he can't bear to feed on other girls now that he wants to make things exclusive with Annie. His confessions tears the town apart. He isn't allowed to fall in love with a human, so the other vampires are angry. Annie tells her best friend Nadia, Winn's girlfriend, and it throws a wrench into their relationship - until now, Winn and Nadia were on the road to marriage but Nadia decides she'd rather use her body to feed a vampire boyfriend instead of babies. Most troubling of all, the secret makes its way to Annie's work where her jealous co-worker Chase is inspired to start hunting the vampires down.Hot Meals finishes what Twilight and Fifty Shades started: you get devoted, impossibly sexy vampires, of course, but this time the women hold all the power.Hot Meals is book one in a three-part series, though it can be read as a standalone novel with a happy ending and no cliffhanger.
