How a Green Stole My Soul (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798197430274)

She has a loving husband, a grown son, a healthy body that runs 5ks, and a basement bar with a neon sign. So why does she whisper to a green bottle every evening at 7:30 PM?

Meet Reyanna O'Connor. Mid-fifties. 180 pounds of joy. Her left knee clicks, but nothing concerning. She's never been drunk. Never tried drugs. She just has one tiny, ridiculous love affair-with Heineken.

It started at a strip club in 1993, where a naked waitress delivered her first bitter, unfamiliar sip. She never did remember Luke Skyywalker the Rapper's performance. But she remembers every detail of that green bottle.

Thirty years later, she's traveled to thirty countries-Jamaica, Ghana, Cuba, Paris, Rome, and beyond-with her green friend always by her side. She's discovered a workplace with two refrigerators: one for lunches, one packed entirely with Heineken. (She never drank a single one at work. Professionalism matters.)

She's experimented with mango juice, guava, strawberry, and Sprite. She always comes back to the original.

And every night, after her 5k and her cheese board, she descends to her basement bar, pours one bottle into a frozen mug, and whispers: "You again."

How a Green Stole My Soul is a cheerful, magical, laughable love letter to life's small rituals. No drama. No drunk scenes. Just a happy woman, her family, and the green bottle that became her evening sun.

Grab a cold one, put your feet up, and smile.
