In the preface to her fifth collection of poems, author Lopamudra Banerjee says: "there are still voices in my head that I gave shape to, sometimes inspired by paintings and my travels and the nectar and poison of everyday truths, sometimes as my moments of cognizance. In the collection, they have formed parts of the topography of her mindscape, as myriad artistic truths have emerged, with a cathartic effect.
