Roxanne Maria Cardenas, M.Div. Roxanne Cardenas, a Milwaukee native, accepted Christ at five years of age and actively participated in a variety of church and community based activities. Roxanne received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History Education from Clark Atlanta University. After returning to Milwaukee and accepting a teaching position, Roxanne publicly acknowledged her call to ministry. The Reverend Doctor James E. Leary licensed Roxanne into the preaching ministry. The next two years were spent in seminary study, preaching and working as the Dean of Students for a private academy which serves K4 through 12th grade students. Reverend Cardenas is a member of Calvary Baptist Church where Reverend John R. Walton Jr., who later ordained her, serves as pastor. As a member of Calvary she is one of six associate ministers, and has served in a variety of capacities such as youth ministry chair, youth Bible study teacher, choir director and church trustee. Roxanne received her Master of Divinity degree from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary which is located in Lombard, Illinois. Under the unction of the Holy Spirit, Reverend Cardenas founded Tangible Word Ministries and Youth Link USA. These two ministries were birthed in order to affect radical and positive change within the Body of Christ. The mission of Tangible Word Ministries is to train clergy and laity within the local church to operate effectively within their areas of giftedness with a spirit of excellence. Youth Link USA is dedicated to holistically ministering to the needs of youth between the ages of 12-25. God blessed Rev. Cardenas at an early age to preach at local, state and national events. She has also recieved numerous awards including inclusion in the ninth edition of "Who's Who Among America's Teachers" and recognition by the US Postal Service as a "Women Putting Her Stamp on Metro Milwaukee." Currently, Rev. Cardenas serves as an adjunct college professor while continuing to lecture and preach at ministry retreats, leadership training sessions, conferences and events in a variety of venues throughout the country. Her passion for God and zest for life combined with her dynamic leadership style and prophetic teaching and preaching have made Tangible Support a life-changing and ministry enhancing training ground for ministry leaders throughout the Midwest and beyond.
