John was born in Jasper County Indiana May 3rd 1946. Educated in the Walker township school district of Jasper County. He began his writing career in 1999 with his first publication titled The Life and Times Of John H Conley Jr (out of print). He published his life story in 2003 called Cowboys Farmers and Friends (revised in 2006). He has been doing Lecture's about his writings since the year 2000. He moved to Phoenix Arizona in 1976 and continued his writing career, writing about the Western way of life.
