How the Light Ends: Poems on Mortality and Memory (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798276102061)

This collection is a journey through the intimate landscapes of loss, remembrance, and renewal. How the Light Ends does not seek to offer easy answers or polished resolutions; instead, it invites the reader to walk slowly through the fragile spaces where memory and mortality meet. These poems trace the contours of absence-how it wounds, how it lingers, how it reshapes the body and the heart-and they honor the quiet ways we continue forward despite, and because of, those fractures.

Across its sections, the book gathers the small rituals of grief and the unexpected moments of grace that emerge in its wake. The poems look tenderly at the ghosts we inherit and the ones we create, exploring how family histories, private sorrows, and fleeting joys form the intricate archive of a life. Within every loss, there remains a flicker of light-sometimes faint, sometimes fierce-that guides us back to ourselves. This collection leans into that luminosity, revealing how remembrance can illuminate even the darkest corners of our stories.

Yet How the Light Ends is not a book solely about endings. It is also about beginnings: the fragile return of hope, the slow turning toward healing, the courage it takes to keep living with an open heart. These poems recognize that light does not vanish when met with darkness-it transforms, recedes, gathers itself again. What remains becomes inheritance: tenderness, truth, and the enduring capacity to love.

Lyrical, intimate, and profoundly human, this collection is both a mirror and a lantern-offering readers not only reflection, but a way forward.
