How to Convince an Atheist Abortion is Wrong: Defending the Pro-Life Position Using Logic, Not Theology (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798241494344)

This book was written as part of the Virtuous Atheism Project, which aims to normalize Atheism through virtue-based secular philosophy.

The abortion debate is usually framed as a fight between religious doctrine and political slogans. If you are an Atheist or skeptic who wants a serious moral discussion grounded in reality, that framing leaves you stranded. This book exists to give you a clear, secular way through the noise.

This is not a theological plea. This book is written by an Atheist.

How to Convince an Atheist Abortion is Wrong does not cite scripture or threaten divine punishment. It makes a reasoned, secular case built on logic, biology and ethics, aimed at readers who care about truth and rational consistency.

It is also not written to shame.

The goal is to persuade people to make better choices going forward, not condemnation of women who have had abortions in the past.

If you want to defend human rights without theology and speak clearly in secular settings, this book walks you through a practical framework:

1. Define what abortion is in plain biological terms.
2. Test the popular pro-abortion arguments (personhood, bodily autonomy) for ethical coherence.
3. Learn how to argue with respect and clarity without ever reaching for religious justifications.

• A direct case that the Pro-Life position does not require mysticism or theocracy and can follow from any worldview that values universal human rights, science and civilization.
• A sustained critique of personhood arguments and a secular response to "bodily autonomy" claims.
• An examination of historical roots of modern abortion advocacy, including links to eugenics and the way some secular institutions continue to echo those premises.
• Guidance for real conversations: tone, terminology, how to handle hostile exchanges and sample rebuttals.

This book was written for Atheists, skeptics and reason-based Pro-Lifers who want to defend unborn human life using reason, not religion.

It is specifically aimed at readers who are secular Pro-Life already, those who are morally conflicted, or those simply trying to make sense of the culture-war rhetoric.

The public debate concerning abortion is saturated with "metaphysical posturing" on both sides and euphemisms often replace direct moral reasoning about what abortion is. This book is meant to restore intellectual honesty to the discussion and give secular readers a coherent moral foundation they can actually defend.

If you want a secular, truth-centered argument against abortion you can use in the real world, this book was written for you.
