Nick Amis is a writer and author but is also the owner of Hector Longbody - a black and tan miniature dachshund. Hector began his acting career with a series of commercials for a well-known insurance company, with the campaign being run nationally during the Rugby World Cup and Six Nations Rugby tournaments. This high profile campaign catapulted him from relative obscurity to dog superstar, but also had the effect of dramatically increasing the popularity of the breed. Nick took the opportunity to write about his experience of the world of film and advertising to produce this hugely popular guide.
