Harry Starn, Jr., teaches at California Lutheran University, a private, non-profit, four-year institution located in Thousand Oaks, CA. His program administrator duties involve directing the School of Management's Financial Planning Program. He has also served as the University's Director of Distance Learning and Chair of the Faculty Advising and Mentoring Committee. Previously, he taught in the Professional Degree program at Regis University in Denver, Colorado.

He is the recipient of two teaching awards. In 2010, the United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) presented him with the bronze award for Excellence in Distance Teaching.
