I Am Still Standing Because of God (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781974065530)

Madelyn Perdue was born, raised, and still resides in Chicago, IL. What is unique about her life is the treachery that she has endured, and survived to share. Share she does, and comes across with a heartfelt combination of compassion, brutal honesty, and surprising innocence, in spite of the fact that she never truly embraced her own childhood. She presents portions of her own self-imposed criminal history, shown on the cover and throughout this book, and walks you through grave details of her own wiles. While at every turn acknowledging her own wrongdoing, even fervently seeking prayer and deliverance, yet that seems to work against her as she's all the more compelled by her own hunger for a connection with the streets. This is how she comes to know that she is still standing because of God.
