I Feel Like a Little Kid Inside: Healing Your Inner Child and Learning to Reparent Yourself (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798277619278)

Do you ever feel suddenly, overwhelmingly small?

You are an adult. You pay bills, make decisions, and function in the world. Yet, in certain moments-during a conflict, when someone's tone shifts, or when you feel rejected-you feel about five years old.

Maybe you've been told you're "too sensitive." Maybe you shut down when you need to speak up, or you feel a desperate need for reassurance that seems disproportionate to the situation. You might look at other adults who seem so solid and wonder why you can't just "toughen up."

Here is the truth: You are not broken. You are not immature. You are having a normal response to an unmet need.

I Feel Like a Little Kid Inside is a guide to understanding why your adult self sometimes disappears, and how to rescue the part of you that is still waiting for care. This isn't just about analyzing your past; it is about learning to be the parent to yourself that you needed back then.

Through gentle guidance and practical tools, this book will help you:

• Distinguish between being "childish" vs. feeling "child-like" and why the difference matters for your healing.
• Understand the "SAFE" framework to manage triggers in real-time without spiraling.
• Silence the Inner Critic that shames you for having needs.
• Master the art of "Reparenting"-giving yourself the validation, protection, and comfort you missed in childhood.
• Learn to listen to your body when it signals that your inner child is activated.

This book does not ask you to fix yourself, because you are not a problem to be solved. It asks you to stop abandoning yourself when you are hurting.

If you are ready to move from understanding your wounds to actually healing them, this book is a gentle hand to hold along the way.
