By Zafer Tanrıverdi
Love doesn't always arrive with fireworks. Sometimes it's in a quiet glance, a familiar voice, a message never sent.
This collection of poems traces how love moves through our lives - when we're young and reckless, older and more cautious, hopeful, or quietly healing. Some of these poems speak of beginnings, others of distance. Some are about love that never quite took shape, and some about the kind that stays even when it's gone.
Zafer Tanrıverdi writes from experience - not just of romance, but of the everyday weight and wonder of being close to someone. Born in 1978 in Karaman, Turkey, he studied physics at Boğaziçi University and lived in Copenhagen for several years. Along the way, he worked in different fields and met people from many walks of life, each leaving their mark in small ways - just like love often does.
These poems don't try to teach or explain. They simply reflect. They sit beside you like an old friend, sometimes nostalgic, sometimes clear-eyed, sometimes unsure - but always honest.
I Loved Thee Still is for anyone who has felt something they couldn't name, and kept going.
