I The Son: An Anthology of Poems, Short Stories, Songs and Slices of Life (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9780692401972)

I The Son is the collected pieces of one person's experiences: The human experience broken into chapters and told through poems, song lyrics, short stories and slices of life; the snapshots of experiences put to words and expressed honestly, artistically, and at times...painfully. From a trip to the south, as seen through the eyes of a six year old, to an angry heartfelt plea to the community and the country, this work will challenge, inspire, and encourage you. It is a triumphant journey of the human spirit through adversity, and demonstrates in the most poetic language the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.About the authorDarryl V. Smith grew up in what the Chicago Sun-Times called the worst housing projects in America, Chicago's notorious Robert Taylor Holmes.
