I Would Have, But...: A Brief Guide to Getting Over Your Excuses (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798252114316)

You had a reason. You always do.

I Would Have, But... is a coaching book built around the EXIT Framework(TM), four steps that turn any excuse into an honest decision. Examine the excuse. X-Ray what it is really costing you. Identify what you actually want. Take the first real step today.

Sometimes the obstacle is real, and the framework helps you tell the difference between a genuine barrier and a story you have practiced until it sounds like the truth. That difference changes everything, because most of the time, the thing holding you back was never the circumstance. It was always the explanation.

This book will not pump you up and send you on your way. It will coach you through every excuse you have ever used, including the ones you have not admitted yet. It moves through the eleven areas where excuses do the most damage: business and work, family, mental health, fitness, relationships, finance, health, personal growth, aging, creativity, and technology. Whatever your excuse, it is in here, and so is the way out.

This book is for the person who keeps saying someday, the one with a plan they have never started, the one who wins everywhere except the single area they cannot seem to move. If you have ever known exactly what you needed to do and talked yourself out of it with a reason that sounded airtight, this was written for you.

The EXIT Framework came out of real work. The author spent a decade building a company from nothing, sold it to a Fortune 500, and has spent the years since coaching founders and leaders through the gap between what they intend and what they actually do.

The only thing standing between you and what you want is the story you keep telling yourself about why you cannot have it.

It is time to find the EXIT.
